Make a difference as a Field Technician / Driver CE at Van Stratum Horst.
We provide temporary power solutions: generators, transformers, load banks, distribution boards, and everything that comes with them. These are developed and built in-house: well engineered, carefully built, and finished with attention to detail.
Our customers rely on us when it matters most, whether during an outage, a major event, or at a critical installation.
In those situations, they need a solution that does what it needs to do and can be relied on. That’s why we deliver equipment that does exactly what it’s designed to do. And we take pride in that.
What does your workday look like?
You hear it often, but here it’s truly the case: there is no standard workday in this role. You head out in the truck to customers across the Netherlands and abroad, but what your day will look like is often only clear on the day itself. You make sure our power solutions arrive on-site safely and on time. The schedule is rarely fixed. An urgent outage or an additional job in between means you need to be able to adapt. That variety is exactly what makes the job engaging and rewarding.
Once on-site, your work doesn’t stop there. You assist with connecting the installation, assess the situation on-site, and make sure everything works as it should. You are the first point of contact on-site and represent our company. You show what Van Stratum stands for: practical solutions, quality, and service customers can rely on.
Between assignments, you support the workshop by preparing or maintaining equipment. This means you’re involved in the entire process, from preparation to on-site installation, so you know exactly what you deliver and can take pride in it.

What we expect from you
A technical background and/or affinity with electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction
CE driver’s license and Code 95 certification (or willingness to obtain it)
A VCA Basic certificate, forklift license, and experience with a truck mounted crane are a plus. If you don’t have them yet, we’ll be happy to help you obtain them.
You are communicative, work independently, and actively contribute ideas on our products, technology, and processes.
You take pride in finishing a job properly, even if that means staying a bit later when needed
